9th Annual United Nations Association Film Festival (UNAFF):"SPARKS OF HUMANITY"

UNAFF celebrates the power of films and videos on local and global issues: human rights, environmental survival, women's issues, protection of refugees, homelessness, racism, famine, disease control, universal education, war and peace. Thirty films will be presented at this year's festival from over thirty countries. Established nine years ago, at the fiftieth anniversary of the signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the UNAFF brings together filmmakers, the academic community and the general public to offer a unique opportunity for creative exchange and education among groups and individuals often separated by geography, ethnicity and economic constraints.

When and Where: Stanford University on October 25-29, 2006, with pre-screenings in San Francisco on October 18 and in East Palo Alto on October 20.
